Hétérotopies, in Huy
“Hétérotopies” (heterotopias) is a two-voice exhibition that questions those “other places”, the paradoxical utopias once sketched out by Michel Foucault.
Anne Dejaifve subverts the codes of the religious procession to draw a critical portrait of our times: grotesque banners, corrupted symbols, damning figures, pencil-drawn characters wandering like shadows… everything works to desacralise our collective illusions.
As a mirror, Nicolas Biéva explores digital territories as so many spaces of drift, accumulation, tension and recomposition. Together, they offer a sensitive journey, by turns seductive and uneasy, through the margins, imaginaries and fractures of our world.
(E. d’Autreppe, translated from the French)
Five works were shown: Mother of pearls, Têtes chercheuses, Puppeteer, Delocalized narratives and Work, work, work.
